What was the best football book you've ever read?

Fever Pitch?

For me it was The Road to France by Mark Palmer (?) or maybe it was Gary and Phil Neville's joint book "For Club & Country" or Sir Alex Ferguson's "Managing my Life".

All of Bacjhams books are terrible - I have a copy of "BECKHAM".

About to read Peter's "Schmeichel".

full time: the secret life of tony cascarino was pretty good.

Is the Tony Cascarino book the book in which he reveals he should not have played for Ireland? Love to read that. "Managing my Life" by Sir Alex Ferguson is priceless.

"Managing my Life" by Sir Alex Ferguson has some good bits.

It is really interesting hearing how Sir Alex was as a player in Scotland and how he got on with other players and staff as a manager.

Then he talks about Jock Stein and how he died when Scotland qualified for the World Cup.

It is nice reading how United won the League in 1992 and I fully recommend it.

My fav is the Miracle of Castel di Sangro by Joe McGinnis. He's an excellent writer and its a great story. Miles better than Fever pitch IMO.

Barca - A people's passion is well worth a read as is Hand of God.

THere another book by Simon Kuper that is suppose to be excellent. Can't remember the name
