What things in the last year, from the big wide world of "Other Sport" sports, had you :D and over the moon, or simply in admiration?

And what will you not forget for all the wrong reasons, made you so very depressed, or angry, or just disappointed?

The Ashes have to be up there as the worst.

It very nearly ruined my life, I lost my body clock entirely staying up to watch it all, and when I was awake I was quite a depressed and angry man! I think Hamilton runs it close, missing out on a Championship he frankly had in the bag with 2 races to go.

I must say I did enjoy putting the French out of their own World Cup in the semi finals of the rugby, probably my highlight.

Worst

  • Ashes, simply horrific display from our cricketers
  • 36-0 defeat against SA in the Rugby World Cup
  • Hatton being destroyed by Mayweather

Best

  • Federer equaling Borgs Wimbledon record
  • England Rugby post SA defeat, made the Nation proud
  • Paula Radcliffe winning the NY marathon
  • Joe Calzaghe remaining undefeated

Worst - Humiliating Ashes defeat

Best - England beating France, in France.

Best
  • The Saskatchewan Roughriders winning the Canadian Football League's Grey Cup (This is Canada's version of Gridiron Football...we's champs, babes)
  • Inaugural season of Toronto FC in MLS. Footy comes to Toronto!

Worst
  • Beckham moves to LA Galaxy
  • Baseball on Drugs
  • Marion Jones...winning with steroids = giving back your Olympic gold medals

Best - Lewis Hamilton wining his first GP
Worst - Yellow jersey thrown out of the Tour de France

THE BAD

Pakistan's poor showing at the World Cup along with Bob Woolmer passing away. If that wasn't bad enough all the crap police work that went on and the accusations that flew around. Then Inzy basically retired. Then Misbah trying the great and spectacular shot against India in the Cricket Twenty20 Cup Final and being caught out resulting in Pakistan losing. Typical.

Hamilton being so good was refreshing but then he still managed to loose. I was more concerned with the behind the scenes bitching from mainly Alonso and how McLaren kept lying about not having Ferrari data and using it up until last month when they finally came clean.

All that big hype around the best fight of the decade Hatton v Mayweather and then winning it with a fluke like that.

THE GOOD

The only good thing I can think of is Amir Khan's continuing rise in the boxing world. He is so quick and has plenty of potential - still I am sometimes slightly sceptical about some of the weak opponents he takes on but nevertheless he has something special about him.

Oh hang on, I nearly forgot, watching Ronnie O'Sullivan play snooker is brilliant and more specifically his 147 break in the deciding frame of the semi-final just a week or two ago was amazing. He also went on to win the tournament.

Worst

Sean Taylor dying.

Philly's season.

Best.

Egg-chasers doing the nation proud.

Everyone realising we actually are shite at cricket.

Worst: Losing to England in the Rugby I guess .. Lions unable to make top8 in AFL after great comeback
Best: Retaining the Ashes :p
