Tunisia midfielder Slim Ben Achour is being tracked by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, according to a report in the Tunis Hebdo newspaper.
Ben Achour was one of the few bright spots in a fairly depressing World Cup campaign for Tunisia, impressing with his creativity and skill.
And Ferguson has been making enquires about the player to his club Paris Saint Germain, from whom he has been on loan at Martigues for most of the season.
However, having initially been loaned out with a view to a permanent deal, Ben Achour may now find himself pressing for a first-team place with the Paris giants.
PSG may see him as an ideal replacement for Jay Jay Okocha, who has left the club on a free transfer.
Ben Achour, born in the French capital, caught coach Luis Fernandez's eye with his performances after only breaking into the Tunisia side at the start of the African Nations Cup final in Mali.
