Bellion or Byland?

Alright, 2 then. I must admit that he does need some work on his turn of pace. Looks a bit sluggish at times. Although I think that is an attitude problem, I reckon SAF could sort that out with a bit of the old iron fist.

Saw an interview with him in a Danish footy-magazine ("GOAL"). It was just a few youngsters lining up for quick replies on a few questions, like who they were supporting etc.

Byland said it had always been United for him, so no doubt that he would be dedicated if we get him :D - I agree on the attitude-problem though... but as pinted out, it is nothing that SAF cannot change :)

Byland by a country mile. I think he's going to be the next breakthrough star in the league.

Now here is a player who I would love to see at United. Have heard nothing but praise for him.I know Fergie is keeping very low key about him, if it were known he was interested the money value for him would rocket. Mind you having said that both Arsenal and Liverpool have been taking an interest, especially after his last performances.
I think Fegie will have to act pretty quick once the transfer window opens, unless of course he can sign him as a youth player.

Has he gotten over them ankle injuries he had a few months back?
Many's a promising young player like Byland whos career never took off because of such injuries.
I saw him play on Europsport in some youth tournament and he looked excellent, a bit of a hot head though, got booked for a Steven Gerard style lunge aimed at the wedding tackle if i remember rightly.
If i had to choose betwen Byland & Bellion it would hve to be Byland though.

Will the real Chris Byland stand up and show yourself? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Yes I agree about Bellion. But having seen both, don't you think that Byland is better in the air and has a better left foot.

I dont know what your laughing at, Byland looks far better than both Eidur & Bellamy did at that age.
Youll be eating your words ina few yrs when Byland is the darling of the Stretford end just like Diego is now.

Byland good in the air? No way, he's too short.

Very fast tho, can play both wings and as a striker or in the "hole". And he always seems to be in the right position, most of his goals are "easy". He's not as good as Bellion ATM but has greater potential and one day we'll be sorry if we let Arse or Liverpool catch him. He's perfect for United. IMO he'll be the world's best footballer by some distance in five years.

If he was that good, sunderland wouldn't have bought tore andre flo and marcus stewart.

Not worth spending any effort or cash in getting him.

Have you watched him play?

Byland again? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Turns up for Red Cafe Utd so I've heard ;)

Ichk, if you don't like the idea of us buying Byland, then atleast put forward a good argument against.. rather than your childish <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> smilies.

Osterdal... world's best in 5yrs? kinell, jumping the gun a bit? i can recall everyone, expecting Lampty of Ghana to become the next Maradona.. and look at what happened to him... he ended playing for Coventry

Here's who i think SAF should be looking at:

Kallstrom
Cisse
D'allesandro
RVDV
Mido
Byland
Kaka

good potential there... i'd hate it IF Wenger bought any one of those players.

Ickh one more thing, re Bellion... Vieira and henry couldn't break into the Juve and Milan sides.. did that mean they weren't good enough.. or simply weren't ready?

anyway Arse has missed a pen <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Well, maybe you're right but I've just got this feeling... Old Trafford and Byland are made for each other.

<img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Raoul Bellion can be to us what Henry is to asrenal. A weapon of pace and skill designes to take alot of attention off our midfilders and main stiker giving us a goal threat we have never had before.(Remeber Henry is actually one of the worst players in the air. But his skills and his two footedness complement eacxh other beautifully). I say we buy both . That way we miss out on neither's potential. ;)

As for you ichk. Did you see Bellion's premier league debut against us? He kicked our defences arse that day yet they were the best in the league by then. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Definately Byland.

If all else fails stick him up front and he'll run under the legs of their center-backs ;)

Now that's something we can all agree on! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I've heard that Byland won't move from his hometown.

Would he be able to handle the constant long trips to OT?

Could be the deciding factor...

Looks like we've got competition from the eyeties on this one though...

12:21 Sun 9th 2003: tuttosport - Juve and Inter watch Byland
Today there were indications that Juventus have set about looking to sign young English starlet Byland.

Moggi : "Byland? A great talent with a flowery future"

How can you say that when youve never seen Byland play? Ive only seen glimpses of him on Eurosport & footbal mundial but he looks as good as the
glimpses that ive seen of Bellion?
Now juve are after him, its the Henry saga all over again :(

Byland is feckin fantastic... ;)

I have no doubt that Byland would be the better buy... Bellion is good, but this lad's the next big thing... if we miss out, it'll be like missing out on a young Ronaldo, Maradona....or Van Basten..
