BELLION TO JOIN UNITED IN £3M DEAL - REPORTS

David Bellion is set to sign for Manchester United this week, according to the Sunday People newspaper.

Manchester United have been tracking the 20 year old for several months, and with the Frenchman out of contract in the summer, United are thought to want to sign him permanently this month, without having to go through the hassle of a tribunal (which would happen if they wait until he is out of contract).

Last month, it was thought that United would place a bid of £1m for Bellion. However, Sunderland are holding out for more (can you blame them?), and so Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to bid £3m, plus a five-year deal for Bellion, with wages estimated at £20,000 a week.

United's interest in Bellion was raised shortly after former Sunderland Reserves coach Ricky Sbragia joined Old Trafford. Sbragia has worked with Bellion for the last two years (since Bellion's free transfer from Cannes), and it's thought that Sbragia has been instrumental behind this move.

They've seen the way things are going around here and are vying for their own forum in a break away from the general transfer forum <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />
