As i thought Becks is being pushed out the door, although most of us fans cant envisage a utd without becks, surely a big signing will be in line to replace him. Early reports suggest maybe ronaldinho and quaresema, however i dont yet think we can rule out a move for viera.

i dont think viera is needed at united ! he,s had plenty of injurys last season so why buy a player that cant play week in week out, and age is a concern he,s no spring chicken any more - becks leaving WEVE HEARD IT ALL BEFORE, WHY WOULD HE GO TO BARCA? theres no bigger team than united so i for one want him playing at old trafford next season , and maybe ronaldinho in his team - and look heres a pic of him -----> :D

I know we'd all like him to stay but i cant help but think fergie and the board will be rubbing their hands at a 30 mill check and the possible arrivals of ronaldinho kewell and co.We all know becks wants to stay but like jaap stam the mighty dutch man, he may have no choice.

Becks can go...by the time 2006 WC rolls around, Quaresma will be the best RW in the world...and he will be plying his trade at OT...for now, Kewell will be the obvious choice, to at least groom Quaresma for one season...

Realistically, I don't think Becks will leave this summer...but 35m, I'd sell him in a heartbeat...perhaps send him to AC Milan for 20m and Shevchenko...

Face the facts people...football is a business...and a chance to cash in on a valuable asset who is more media hype than actual play, is something a plc or owner cannot turn down...United is breaking into the North and South American markets, so lost money from Becks presence will be made up from the American markets...Tim Howard will bring more exposure of United to the US...and probably lead to the signing of a couple young Americans someday (Adu and Convey?)...with or without Becks, United will continue to challenge for medals...

Because football is a business? That may be true, but we as fans should not support that. Kenyon worries about the money. We support the team. What's more important, making money off a bunch of fat Yanks, or watching our home-grown talent run out onto the pitch every week? I for one am tired of people saying we should sell Beckham for the money. He loves the club and is a great player. That's enough for me.

Mr Wood, men get into the pro sport business to make money...and I'd rather see United sell Becks and go on to win the CL...than keep Becks and come up short again...wishing they'd had cashed in when they had a chance to better the club...and whether you like it or not, the club will make money off 'fat yanks' and it is for the better of the club to continue to make money off us 'fat yanks' or they would not be able to afford player wages for the likes of Becks...get it? Didn't think so...

Sir Marcello! You're not making sense! Could you please explain to me why selling Beckham, one of the most tallented footballers in the world, would benefit United in the Champions League? I agree that Quaresma looks like a great player and may be a long term replacement for Beckham, but does that mean we should sell Beckham now? Manchester United is not a selling club. Shall we put a price tag on van Nistelrooy while we're at it?

I'm opposed to this Kenyon-style attitude being adopted by some fans. If we bring in Americans, it should only be if they will benefit the team. It should not be because United can take advantage of football's growing populartity in North America. I'm going to let the suits worry about the money. I'd never advocate the sale of a player who loves United and gives 100% every match.

To sell Beckham does not make financial, or footballing sense.

He will earn us more money if he stays with us than if we sell him for £40Mill. He is giving us exposure in the States as well as the rest of the world. This is a fact the plc know full well.

In a footballing sense it make no sense to sell him, he is Utd player through and through and I just hope he remembers that even though he is England captain it was the Utd fans that stuck by him after WC98 rather than thise fickle England fans. He does seem to put more effort into the big England games than the Utd ones in the past year or so which is the only fault I can see in him. He will have some good competiton if Quaresma arrives, and Quaresma will take time to settle in.

Basically i really feel he wont be goin anywhere for a few season at least
