Beckhhhhhhaaaaaaaaammmmmmmm .....

personaly I think there's nothing to discuss next season .. The main reason for Becks just signing for 3 years and not more ... should be mainly due to Fergie's availability as the manager ... Becks might still have that little bit of doubt there on the new on taking over the reigm later .. which sounds logical ...

so you think that letting becks new contract running till the last minute so he can decide weather to stay or not, based on the new manager is LOGICAL.
yes it suits him but as for UNITED its shit ... what if he doesn't like the new manager or fancys a change?? and he leaves UTD on a free ... leaving UTD missing out on a large transfer fee for one of their biggest investments.

You're assuming the club wanted to give him a longer contract. He'll be 30 in 3 years time, will he still be the best? Probably, but its good to keep your options open.

i didn;t say that beckham should have been given a longer contract ... i just said that we will probably be in the same positone as we were before the weekend next summer

This wont be just a Manchester United problem,Its going to be the same for the other clubs aswell.
Times have changed, and players "all players" will be going for the best deals.

What does the article say? That site is blocked by work because it posts too much fictional crap.

Anyone care to paste it in here please....

Beck's is so brilliant!!

I believe that everything we won this year can be put down to Beck's unremitting contribution to this club.

We need to keep him so that we can repeat this year's marvellous achievements.

New Becks talks in a year

By NEIL CUSTIS

DAVID BECKHAM'S new contract could have to be renegotiated as early as next summer.
Beckham, 27, has signed a four-year deal with one year back-dated to the start of talks 12 months ago.

That means that the England skipper is only contracted to Manchester United for the next three years.

It is the club's policy to begin negotiations on new contracts two

years before the end of their current deals. So a whole new round of talks will start again this time next year.

Beckham's new deal is worth £70,000 a week plus a further £20,000 a week in image rights.

Chief executive Peter Kenyon said: "David has been a unique case because of his global image and that is what has taken the time. But we believe we have agreed a deal of mutual benefit to both himself and the club."

Meanwhile, United have released Denis Irwin, Raimond van der Gouw and, surprisingly, Ronny Johnsen.

Ferguson said: "Ronny has been a terrific servant but he has had quite a few injuries."

he just want more money, he will hold the club to ransom againt in three year time. and the funny part is he talking about loyalty, after getting paid 100 00 per week. the goal post shit just a publicty con job.

ryan giggs is a real devil, it just took him two week to negotiate and agree to new contract, and taking lesser pay.

that show who is a real red devil
