Cookies would get rid of the casual spammer. Just dump a cookie after voting, and check for it before. But the comments really need moderating, this is a United site, and he is our captain.

So David Beckham was twice as good as Roy Keane. :rolleyes: I don't think so.

I don't know why they don't just collect up the votes after every game and use those. Save a lot of time and would be more realistic.

ok we all know that keano is vastly important to United as well as RVN was this year, but without david we had trouble scoring in the biggest games of the year. Arse, Bayer. When he got injured he was playing the best football of his career and if he had stayed healthy i really think united would be celebrating another cup. Obviously the poll is skewed but make no mistake becks is one of our MVPs this year without doubt

when becks was rested around christmas, we played many poor teams from the second half of the table and no CL. An in form becks was terrible missed against Bayer Leverkusen or Arsenal. We had some good games with keano out injured too. So your quote is complete nonsense.

For this award: RVN should have won it, because he was the most impressive player this season. But these voting awards in the internet are more some sort of a popularity contest and should not taken to serious. They are really unimportant.

I disagree. Ruud, like most players, went thru a quiet spell.

I wrote this before. But again. It is almost impossible for offensive creative player like RVN,Beckham,Giggs, etc. to be consistent for the whole year. It is the same in other teams you can take zidane,rivaldo,tott, etc. these players will always have some quit spell during a season. Because it is so much harder to create things for offensive players then to avoid things for defensive players. That is the reason that worldclass defensive midfielders like Keane, viera or defenders like nesta are always more consistent through a season than offensive players.

you can´t expect more goals from Ruud in his first season =&gt; he is my player of the season by a mile though keano was great as usually.
