Beckham Should stay away from the centre!

I have been thinking about our David and the way he has been developing as a player. Not for England mind, I am only thinking about his role for MUFC. IMO he needs to stay out on the right, work the flank hard and cross, cross cross. As we know he can cross the ball with the best of them. The crosses trouble the best of tight defences, so he needs to do more of them. I really dont see a lot of tackling ability from him. Dont get me wrong, he works damn hard and makes challenges, but I would sooner leave the centre of the park grunt work to Keano and Butt. Get david to stay on the right, work hard, cross regularly and drive the right flank forward at every single opportunity. Maybe if giggs could do the same? Who knows...

I think we'll see more crosses and wing play from him now that Gary Neville is back, I certainly noticed the difference against the Greeks. It does seem to be a deliberate tactic, in order for Giggs and Beckham to score more themselves (which he did last season), and make us harder to defend against and more unpredictable - however I think the balance has been wrong, and they should play more on the wing than they have been.

Having Gary Neville playing behind him, certainly makes Becks play better. Its obvious theyve played together for years.
I believe with Nev back, Beckham will now start producing again.

He's better on the wing. His passing and crossing are probably better than anyone else in the world. We already have enough player trying to fit into centre midfield

Of course the crosses from Beckham is useful and powerful, but it's too simple if we just say Becks just need to stay at the right and then he can put in cross after cross. He can be easily freezed out there. The point is that he need to be more mobile. He can go into centre to get the ball, if he can return to the flank to cross the ball at the right time.

Both Beckham and Giggs have been told to score more goals, which they are doing, but inevitably at the expense of creating goals. Getting the balance right between these is the trick, but it does make us less predictable - you never know when we might lose. ;)
