Newspaper rumours, £35m for Becks with Fergie intent on bringing these two in, and according to the accumulated reports, the two deals look very on (cant say the same for Duff :( ). If I was kevthered, I would be posting my "Ronaldinho and Kewell signing soon!" right about now.

But would you like this scenario? Everyone is saying Ronnie is coming in as link man, but he can also play right wing, he is right footed after all. Both of the players can provide competition and back up for both flanks and up front.

Ron = £15m
Kewell = £10m
= £10m spare change plus whatever transfer funds we have = lots and lots of dosh baby! (note: i was generous on the fees) estimated £15-£20m left to spend on defence/GK/striker whilst our midfield/creative department has been significantly bolstered .. for a profit.

I would certainly hate missing the opportunity to sign either of these two players, but signing both would be madness...or would it?

Becks is going nowhere.

Except to the hairdresser, and that pretty freakin' soon :p

If Becks goes we need someone to fill the merchandising gap. Ronaldinho would do that nicely. Sure, he's not the prettiest guy. Well, he does look like his face caught fire and someone put it out with a shovel, but he has got super silky skills and is currently heading Nike's campaign. Onto a winner

Well he's already done so for Ronaldinho days ago... http://195.8.171.32/vb_forum/showthread.php?s=ffb1935580583a745d64284ae8a366fc&threadid=62850

I'm not saying we should sell Becks. I love the guy, but thats what reports are sugegsting is on the cards.

Not sure if I should be happy or sad. If Beckham doesnt want to leave, he should stay IMO. Great player, great hero. Red legend should never be cashed in on, especially when we dont need the money.

This is silly.
What are you talking about ? Selling one of the worlds finest midfielders ? Absolutely not!
And he's one of our boys, remember!

Ok, how about NO!!! What are you thinking? Becks is the best crosser, and free kick taker in world! No way I would ever give him up... We have a gem in him!

We don't need to sell Becks to buy the players we need. United look for continuity; signing Quaresma now and keeping Becks makes more sence IMO. Then in a couple of seasons Quaresma may be able to make the RW spot his own.

agreed. and dont want Kewell. quaresma will be just fine. and if we want more competition for the wings then bring the young lad christiano ronaldo along with RQ.
both wipe the floor with kewell.

Don't read the reports then. They've been saying that for years now really.

Nike probably want Becks to go, and ronaldhino to be United main icon.

Neither Ronaldinho or Kewell will give us anything on R-Midfield.
We'd need to change to: 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1 for it to work.
Fergie's always been big on width, so i don't see it happening.

wow looks like you guys are still gonna accuse me of wanting to sell Becks huh?

there are ways I can see this happening, Becks may not want to sign his new contract..he has said again that he wants to play in central midfield and he has started to become less and less effective on that right wing.

Fergie seems to prefer Veron over Beckham these days...perhaps meaning Beckham is now seen as expendable.

Ronaldinho and Kewell are world class players, who can both make great passes and can both produce a moment of magic. Both can beat players and whats more they are versatile and young.

Signing both would be tempting simply because they are both great bargains at the moment, but right now there isnt room for both unless we sell someone.

*sigh* more reports today that we have offered him to Barcelona.

I think Becks is unique and should never be sold, which I have gone through on this forum before.

I also think Becks should never be sold. I would prefer to see Veron go and bring in kewell and Ronaldhino. Becks could then play in the centre with Keano.

Keeper
Gary Ferdi Silvestre O'shea

Ronny - Becks - Keano - Giggs

Scholes
RVN
Subs:
Kewell
Ole
Ricardo
Butt
Phil Neville
