I'm not realy in to rap but there is something I realy like about these guys...I can't quite put my finger on it.

Whats the Caf's views on them?
 
They've done some good songs in the past, i don't really see their music as rap.
 
I quite like them. Don't really think of them as rap. Apparently they are hip-hop/Hardcore punk/Rap Rock.

They're only rap in the same way Rage Against the Machine are.

Thinking back to 86/87 when (licenced to ill) came out, that album made a real impact on the kids i knew. And to achieve real credibility during hip hops golden age was quite an achievment.
At first the whole "they are white" and the staged controversy helped them, but it turned out they had real talent, and went on to make some great albums.
20 years later they are still going strong:) and you have to ask yourself where are the other icons of rap/hip hop from that generation?.

Great band, with some real classics in their back catalogue.

So which is the best album? I dont know the ones since Ill Communication that well, I was more into them as a teenager. But Ill Communication and Paul's Boutique were always my favourite.

Are the new ones of the same quality? I do have The 5 Boroughs, I just dont listen to it that often for some reason...
 
They're still my favourite "band" of all time. Paul's Boutique my favourite album.

Also have had the pleasure of shaking MCA's hand and having Adrock "Yo baby, what's up?!" at me.
