Brit residing in Hong Kong

2. Have you been to a beach soccer tournament?

No

3. Do you know what beach soccer is?

Yes, basically five a side played barefoot on a beach/sand court.

4. Have you ever seen it televised?

Ooh Aah Cantona, yeah got one of the big tournaments with Cantona taking part televised last year.

5. If you have seen it how would you rate the game?

No substitute for the real thing but entertaining if there's no other football on, particularly if Fat Eric's playing.

6. If there was a local comp near you would you play it?

Definitely, although all you ever see on our beach is volleyball and touch rugby. Played for a laugh against a local team in Kenya while on holiday and had a blast although the heat was a killer and the ball is fecking hard on the feet if you belt it and catch it wrong, have a feeling our pitch was way too big as it got up to 15 a side at one point.

7. If you dont like the game, what dont you like about it?

Loved the game I played but my feet hurt for days.

8. What would entice you to go watch a tourney?

Free beer

If there was a tournament locally with players of a reasonable standard or a few old-pros then I'd go along. I'm planning to go and see a 7 a-side astroturf competition in HK at the end of this month especially since Chris Eagles will be leading a young United squad against Arsenal, Villa, Celtic & Rangers

Free beer would help too it's hot on them beaches you know.

2 Yes... played in a few in spain

4 breifly on obscure chanels
5 much better to play than watch
6 if I lived by a beach I would play but would rather play 5 a side than on an "artificial Beach"
7 its usually played in the middle of the day (certainly early rounds of a tournament) when its far too hot (for us brits anyway)... some floodlights and an evening game is much better.
8 I would go to play in a tourny if there was some ex pros to play against
I would watch a tourny live if there was some decent pros/ex pros playing or lots of fit doris
I would watch a tourny on tv if there was no other football on and i could get the remote away from my gf (very unlikley if corrie or enders is on)

PORTUGAL ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD:::current champions of the world....IT`s very different from the regular soccer...Ball stays more time in the air and there are a lot of bicycle kicks..
