Did you offer him an aspirin?
I didn't watch it when it first aired in 2006, then I saw an upload of the whole 4 Blu-Ray disc set (as it is, no rips or anything, about 8GB per episode) uploaded on a private tracker, so I thought what the hell, I might as well watch it, it's only a 100 GB to download.

It's , especially when viewed in HD.

I just started watching it, I'm 20 minutes into the first episode. If there are some bits which were not filmed in 1080p, I'd certainly notice them (the video bit-rate of these videos is 20mbps ).

It's fascinating.

I have the discs, and I'll tell you, on the back of the box it states:

Due to the nature of filming in extreme habitats, some footage was not captured in full HD.

yeah even on divx its fascinating... the little white bears are so cute... the cinematography... the cuts... the narrator (richard attenborough?)... perfect for the kids to watch...

That's the one who deals with dinosaurs.

David is the name you're after, make that Sir David.

I enjoyed the BBC Galapagos series on Blu-Ray (under a tenner at Amazon).

I watched the BRRip 1080p Planet Earth series with my girlfriend earlier this year. Unbelievable programme. It's cut and edited in some places to be more exciting but I can put up with that because the camera work, animals and scenery are gorgeous and fascinating.
