An explanation as to the fickleness of the Bayern fans.

1860 Munich is the real team of Munich. They moved out of their stadium in their traditional part of the city to share the Olympic stadium with Bayern. This was never popular with their fans - on of the reasons they don't turn up in great numbers (they're also pure shite).

Bayern I think I'm right in saying have more fans from all Bayern (the state of Bavaria) which is a big place - check it out on a map, it's 'kin huge. Anyway a large percentage of Bayerns' fans come from the country and this makes it almost impossible (apparently) for them to get home after midweek matches.

Course, when they play United on a weeknight they always generally fill the stadium. But then you have to afford them a little respect as they'll obviously do anything to see United ;)

they only fill it for the big games .. theyre lucky when they get 20k v the likes of boavista etc.

when 1860 were playing mönchengladbach in the german cup there were TWENTY TWO people on one stand ...

Fair enough though - the german cup - i mean come on - who gives a shit apart form all those regionaliga teams?

It's not confidence they need - they're full of that - or am I mistaking this for that Dutch trait ( ;) ) arrogance? Yes I am. It's application they need to work on. And the German cup might not be the place to start working on that!
