With the prospect of Bayern being eliminated for the champions league this phase, they will be taking a big hit in the financial department. One wonders if they will be offloading some tallent to make up for this. I'm not suggesting that Ballack will be moved, but perhaps someone else.

The same could be said about Liverpool.

I doubt it. Even though bailing out early on the CL will be embarrasing, and cost them money, I'm sure the last thing they want to do is lose players. That's more something you might do when you get relegated.

That said, I wouldn't mind a Michael Ballack in my side!

:)

IMO big clubs won't let go of their star players easily, and neither will the star players want to leave either..

1. The board knows the club should get back on track next season - hence, keep a strong team even if they have to make loss this year. It's a long term vision. Teams like Leverkusen will never get far as we're are already seeing this season.

2. The players themselves don't want to leave. They also expect the team to play better next season. No one would want to have to settle into a new club every time their club fails to score.. Remember, not everyone is like Ronaldo.

Can't Bayern still have a go at the second-best UEFA Cup? Surely that would help.

Bayern are a very rich club. The players will only go if Hoeness allows them to.

Could anyone enlighten me whether the current B. munich players are mould to be official german national team? if so I don't think they will off load any germans except those foreigner.

My opinion is that at present most of the German team are playing at two clubs - Bayern and Dortmund and perhaps also to a lesser extent Leverkusen. The next world cup is here of course so they will want to do well naturally, but that's 4 years away and whether those clubs manage to hold onto or acquire more players who would play for Germany is debatable I guess.
