nuts!

You guys forgot one thing - reports sugest that Keano will be fit for the second leg!!! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Yeah, but he won't play. As Fergie has said, Butt displaced him

trust me, if keano is fit, he'll play. unless we are already up 4-0 or somert from the 1st leg.

Cant believe some people think it will be a score draw! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

Just reading in the German daily "Bild" about Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper (he takes the penalties) missing a penalty against Werder Bremen at the weekend. Apparently he told the Werder keeper (I think they met at international gathering) that if the keeper does not move too soon he kicks the ball to the keepers left. The Werder keeper had to face him at the weekend and decided that he would dive to the opposite side knowing that the Leverkusen keeper would remember him telling his secret. He saved the kick. Do not know if anything can be had from it. But as a United fan I felt it my duty to post it.

it's that kind of complacency and underestimating of Bayer that will get us knocked out!

They're playing in Glasgow not Surrey ;)

I'm dead nervous about tonight. I just have a bad feeling, but that's probably just anticipation and also German opponents.

United need to set the pace early and command the play if they want to go to Germany with a good cushion. None of this "sit back and repect the opposition" should be on display tonight. That's what we did against Bayern and failed to cause any amount of danger.

A lot of tonight's game rests on the shoulder of Veron. I have confidence in our defence based on our recent solid displays, but Veron will have to, once again, pull a classic out of the bag. If he does, I have no doubt that Ruud and Ole will put away their opportunities.

I don't believe Keano will be in the line up or on the bench. I am hoping Fortune will put in a performance similar to that against Deportivo. If so, we will have ample attack from the midfield. I would assume Butt will fit in beside Veron with Scholsey on the bench; Fergie adopting the 4-4-2 formation.

We need to score goals ! Obvious statement, but I don't fancy going to Germany on the back of a nil - nil draw

Who plays the wings? Giggs on the left obviously, but Beckham, Chadwick and Fortune are all injured. Please Fergie, don't play Phil Neville!
Scholes will start.
