05/11/2003. Gabriel Batistuta has revealed a desire to play in England next season and added that two Premiership clubs have made offers for him.

The former Argentine International is currently playing for Inter Milan, although registered to Roma, who are to allow him to leave in the summer.

The 34-year-old striker believes he still has two-years at the top left in him and he hopes these will be spent in the Premier League.

"I still have two more years to keep playing at a good level," he said.

"I also have offers from Italian teams but on balance my desire is to play in England, more than other things.

"In less than 15 days I will know my future. After one or two years in the Premier League I may finish my career at Boca Juniors."

I doubt he'd get into Boca's team now, never mind in a year or two.

whats betting Kooligan's Massives will snap up the ageing argie battering ram, Kooligan going into fits at the press conference... ..i tell you fellers its going to happen :D

Seems like the kind of players City sign - he used to be good.

Another guy who wants to earn loads of money before he retires! And I agree with the Stamford Bridge Pre-Retirement Camp!

or maybe man city..

Greedy mercenary bastard - he can feck off as far as I'm concerned, he's looking for one last big pay day and we're (English league) the stupid ones who'll take him because he's a name - but he's past it.

WHoever sign's him will deserve what they get, probably 15-20 games out injured and maybe 8-10 goals a season. Then again he could be Liverpool's 2nd striker ;)
