Why not Batistuta? 200 Serie A goals
If shearer scores 200 goals in premiership
then Batigol 400...
Still getting paid 80000 pounds per week(Becks fee) from
Roma(even in the Bench).
free after this summer.
ready for 60000 pounds.

Strong in Air,pace,built like granite.
review after every Season...

Why screw with a good thing? The team is playing so well now and Ferguson has said he does not plan on pursuing anyone in the market on 1 Jan.

No because

1. SAF want a younger and not an older forward line

2 Omar Gabriel Batistuta is F-I-N-I-S-H-E-D. Just ask any Roma's supporter. What is left of him is his reputation

3. I can see RVN and Batigol playing together they are too similar

4 He will come in the EPL to have the last big pay check. He had turned us down too much and would like to come only because he is (PLS read no 2)

yea I forgot to add that he is too old. United does not need an aging forward, we need youth. Batistuta is too old, recovery from injury in older players takes too long, and you really do not know how much longer an older player will be able to play. Let Chelsea or someone else have him.

"He wants to play in England, but he has a contract with Roma until June 2003. We have already informed Roma that he will be leaving in the summer," his agent Settimio Aloisio said.

"His family want to go to England. His children, his wife and Gabriel are all studying English.

"We are in contact with English clubs. He would prefer a London club but if there are other clubs interested in him we will have to study them. He does want to join a Premiership club."

Here is the article from BBConline. Says Chelsea and West Ham are interested.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/2583723.stm

Gabriel Batistuta has confirmed his intention to leave Roma next summer and move to the Premiership.
The Argentinian legend, his country's top scorer at international level, plans to quit Italian football after 12 seasons - according to his agent.

"He wants to play in England, but he has a contract with Roma until June 2003, his agent Settimio Aloisio said on Tuesday.

"We have already informed Roma that he will be leaving in the summer."

Aloisio has been told by Batistuta to find him a high-profile English club.

While he would prefer to play in London, the former Fiorentina frontman would consider a move out of the capital.

Chelsea and West Ham are among clubs reported to be interested in the 33-year-old who has played a bit-part role for Roma this season.

"His family want to go to England. His children, his wife and Gabriel are all studying English," added Aloisio.

Interest has not come exclusively from England though, with a possible switch to the Primera Liga or J-League also an option.

He could even stay in Serie A, but that is not where his ambitions lie.

Batistuta's contract with Roma expires next summer, and coach Fabio Capello has been grooming youngster Antonio Cassano to replace him in the first team this season.

Roma have a wealth of attacking options, making Batistuta disposable once his contract comes to an end.

He has made just five starts in the league this season, but has still managed four goals, despite being mostly used off the bench.

Batigol

Too old, too slow, too greedy and he turned us down a few times when he was in his prime so let some other mug of a club top up his pension.

No way, Batistuta is:

1. Too old

2. Too useless

If he joins an English team, it will be for the money and nothing else. We don't really want him at Utd. because he will never love the club and will not play for the team as a whole, but rather for personal glory and a big fat paycheck and we don't need people like that. We need people who love the club and give in 110% every game.

What if you don't know any Roma supporters?? How can we (the people who don't know any Roma supporters) be sure of this fact?

Sergei Rebrov... ask any Spurs supporter, he's shit becasue he played in a shit team!! Come on SAF, show your eye for a bargain!

Five seasons ago when SAF expressed an interest in signing him, he was the best striker in the world.

Now he's a very pale shadow of the player he used to be.

Spurs and Chelsea or maybe even the Massives can have him.

Roma the Italian Tottenham oh my God this is funny.

Yes AC Roma are passing from a bad internal crisis but I cannot see Totti, Samuel or Montella in the White Hart Lane.

My friend living in Malta gives you a close look to the Serie A, its media and its ppl ( 80% of the maltese know the italian PERFECTLY). Batigol was a magnificent player, possibly one of the best Foreigner strikers ever to come to Italy but he is finished. He rarely play anymore, had lost much of his pace and sharpness and is using his reputation to win a final pay cheque.

This player is nowadays Fullham, Middlesbrough and Chelsea’s level not Manutd

And 3) Too ugly.

I agree about signing him, but I thought we might wait a few more years before doing so.

For those of you who don't like Verón, signing Batistuta would be the easiest way to see Seba pack his bags.

Don't they get along very well then?

Ah now that's different. SAF, rightly, wont bring anyone in with any grudges with/against existing players.

Pity though, Batigol loves scoring goals. If anyone could squeeze one last quality season out of him SAF could.

It's an old, tedious story. Basically it boils down to Verón being a "team" player in all senses and Batistuta being a very selfish player.

Speaking of which, I've noticed that Verón and RVN are not celebrating each others goals lately. Hope it's just a temporary rift.

Do you work for The Sun?

There probably isn't a rift at all.

Batistuta belongs to a rare breed of players like
Baggio,Ronaldo,Romario.......
whether they are in form or out of form or they have pace or not..
if we play them they are going to score goals thats it.
Now a out of form Batistuta (totally) averages
1 goal in 2.9 games....
In form batigol averages 1.78..
Only SAF can bring the best out of Batistuta
atleast for one season.
He is free player. So he is a cheap commodity.

We are going to pay Batigol only little more than gary.If he scores 7 to 8 goals as a sub then
our job is done
