Who`s everyone`s picks for the play-offs?

Even though i`m a Red Sox fan:confused: i took the 5/1 available about the Yankees just after they acquired Abreu and together with the 20s i have on the A`s (pre-season) i`m in a nice position. Hopefully they`ll meet in the ALCS.

In the NL i`m against the Mets, pitching will feck-up come october.

World Series:

Yankees v Dodgers.

Mets will probably implode. I'll pit the Yanks against the field any October.

Where are all the White Sox bandwagoners that appeared on this board last fall?

Still not convinced the Dodgers will make the postseason.

St. Louis has silently put together a mediocre season, which is all that was needed in the Central. I could see them take on the Phillies (as wild card) and then beat the winner of the Padres-Mets series. As a Yank fan, I would like to have someone shut the Met fans up and the earlier, the better.

In the American League, the Twins and As are "hotter" than the Yanks right now, although NY has stepped down the intensity. Detroit is getting a bit too erratic and I don't think they have what it takes to win the AL. I could see a very tough Yanks-Oakland championship series, hoping the Yanks prevail.

pedro didn't look great yesterday. well, in the fifth, at least. our starting pitching worries me.

Yeah--there are major cracks in the armor of both of the New York teams (the pitching is really suspect)--so I wouldn't throw a lot of money into a subway series.

With Johnson not lookin too good for the yanks but mussina and wang look are lookin good but thats it. The yanks batting line up looks so good one of the best I have ever seen it will be hard to beat and with A-Rod getting back on form they are my pick.

did the padres make it this year or did we lose out?

i only ask because im a fan - saw them when i went to SD:)

Surprisingly, the best match up so far might be the Yankees vs Tigers. I figured that would have been a NY sweep.

Tigers can do them, and I hope so. That'd set up a 7 gamer against the A's. I'd hate to play NY AGAIN in the playoffs ... they've killed us everytime the last few years.

Torre still the manager, and Detroit scrape out a 5-1 win.

That's the only thing I hate about the A's pitching staff ... they win because our bats help them.

2-0 down and going back to Detroit... not a good scenario!! :nervous:

Yeah, Big Hurt let down in the 9th ... the scenario couldn't have been any better. Bases load 2 outs!!!

We'll pull together I hope.
