BARCA WANTS RUUD
Barcelona presidental candidate Josep Martinez-Rovira has promised to take Ruud van Nistelrooy to the Nou Camp if he is elected to the hot seat this summer.
In a pronouncement reminiscent of Real Madrid presidents pledging to buy Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane if successful in the elections, Martinez-Rovira says that he'll pair United's Dutchman with his countryman Patrick Kluivert.
"We have spoken to Ruud's agent and we believe the player is very interested in joining our project to make us great again," he claimed on Friday.
"He is interested in the proposal we have made to him."
It's a twist to Thursday's story that Ruud was trying to tempt Kluivert over to Old Trafford, and worrying for United fans in that Martinez-Rovira is not the only candidate promising to deliver Ruud.
"I was the first candidate to contact Ruud," said Jordi Majo - also in the running for the presidency.
"His agent has told us he will not come to Barcelona until we have elected a new president. Van Nistelrooy needs to know our future plans."
Reds will be hoping that another Jordi - Senor Medina - will be put into office as he's after two other players.
"We have spoken to Lazio about Jaap Stam because the Italians still owe money to United," he said.
"But we have also started talking to Leeds and Harry Kewell. In financial terms, it is a transfer we can handle."

I would just like to point out, that if you look, there are already more than one threads on this subject, and there was no need for a new one. You could have just as easly added your comments to an already open thread instead of starting a new one. And if I was a moderater, which I am not, this would have been closed long ago.
