Barca reach D'Alessandro agreement ^top

Barcelona look to have sealed a first refusal option on River Plate starlet Andres D'Alessandro, according to reports in Spain.
Barca have been keen on the Argentinian playmaker for some time, and Spanish daily 'Marca' has reported that the Catalan club's board have reached an agreement with D'Alessandro and his agents.
Barca have already snapped up one of South America's brightest stars with the signing of Boca Juniors' Juan Roman Riquelme last month.
It is thought the club's interest in Argentine international D'Alessandro is with an eye on next season, as Marca reports that they have agreed that the player will not speak to any other other club over the next year and will give Barca first refusal on his services.
The problem for the Catalan giants will be reaching an agreement with River Plate. It is understood that there has been contact made at board level, but nothing more than an initial enquiry for now. It is familiar route for Barca in the transfer market - securing an agreement with the player and making sure he wants to join them and then dealing with the selling club afterwards.
At the moment, though, Louis van Gaal's number one priority is a left-winger, with Valencia's Kily Gonzalez the most likely recruit, depending on the Che's willingness to cash in.
