For those of you who remember the first two games on the N64 and now own an XBOX 360, there's a little treat in store. If you pre-order the new Banjo-Kazooie (nuts and bolts) you get a free code to download the original off of xbox live. You will be able to play the game two weeks before anyone else and certain items you collect off of the original will unlock new content in the new game, and also items collected in the new game will unlock new areas in the old game!

Now i love my retro games and will be pre-ordering this in the near future. It comes out in early November and Banjo-Tooie will be out on xbox arcade early next year. Most likely with more unlockable content for the new game.

No big plans to get the new one, but Banjo Kazooie on N64 was a fantastic game. Second only to Mario 64 in terms of platform/RPG games on that console. It was very in depth and had many very clever elements about it. Good times.

Banjo Kazooie was one of the best games of my childhood, would love to get my Nintendo 64 working again and give it a go.

lol, GAME do it, apparently they do it elsewhere as well but i'm not sure. TBH mate the pure purpose of this thread was to get your attention as i knew you'd read it and want in. :D

Oh and i do owe you a debt of gratitude for introducing me into the epicness that is Banjo-Kazooie. I thought you would have already done a thread on this yourself!

One of my favourite games ever, loved it as a kid and have fond memories of it. However, sadly I won't buy it unless it comes out for the PS3.

That's not going to happen. Rare is probably the only 1st party studio Microsoft has left. Too busy spending silly money trying to nick games off the PS3/Playstation brand.

Rare sold its soul to the M. I'm sad I ever bought a 360, I'll certainly never buy a game on it.

EDIT: I don't expect it to come out for PS3, was merely saying it's the only way I'll get it. I'm probably abit too old for it now anyway

Just finished the new game, pretty good for a giggle. The vehicle creator is good fun and very simple (which is useful). The only thing is it can get a tad repetitive with most missions consisting of, go there-grab this-bring it back again, but the worlds are massive and good for a tad of exploring and the online multiplayer is a good laugh (if you can ever find people).

Because i pre-ordered i got Banjo-Kazooie for free off xbox arcade, and it is fantastic. Looks very clean and plays and sounds great. The Stop 'N Swop wasn't worth all the fuss really. All you get is a flag, a fishbowl, a mole on a stick and some other bits that you can stick on your car but don't offer more than that. Hopefully when Tooie comes out it'll unlock stuff on there as was originaly intended but we'll wait and see.

I'm still at a miss why this game sold so badly. It's probably one of those types of games that will pick up for Christmas however.

Yeah i can see it getting a boost around Christmas time seeing as there's not many more of this type of game coming out before then. It's a good game and the marketing campaign online has been solid enough, hopefully another Banjo game will come out in the future and mix it up with some more platform aspects.
