My question is about the integrated link scanner. Is there any way to allow exceptions for sites so that that 'WARNING' message doesn't come up every time I want to go to it? Site in question is warez-bb.org.

I won't upgrade to anything (freewares) as long as the old version still works.

Sometimes (not all the times) upgraded version might include spyware etc which greatly bothers me.

If it works, why fix it

The AVG 7 Free edition ran out yesterday Had to upgrade to AVG 8 but this link scanner thing's bothering me.

AVG 8 is very good. And free. Easy to upgrade to the pro edition too. Better than Norton and McAfee. Use it on all my systems.

No, AVG 8.0 IS freeware which I have downloaded. It comes with this Link scanner thing which monitors the safety of the websites that you go on. Everytime I click the Warez-bb tab on my firefox bookmarks bar I get a warning message.

Click on Link Shield on the front page....unclick Search Shield. Restart computer. You won't be protected from unsafe downloads though. I'd keep it on, that's why you've got it in the first place. Just allow it to warn you and click ignore.
