AV Transmitters

I have an AV transmitter and the Sky remote wont work through it. Sound and Pic is fine just remote function.

Doing my head in

Anyone got one? Anyone know how to sort this shit

Are you sure it sends a remote signal? All the AV transmitters I've owned (two of them ) have just sent picture and sound - we needed a separate transmitter for the remote. Think about it, this just plugs into the back of the cable box or whatever in one place, and into the back of your TV in another. All it's doing is taking the place of the SCART cable but making it wireless so it can cross greater distances. The remote is an entirely separate piece of hardware it's not designed to deal with, I'd have thought.

That was certainly the case with the two AV transmitters we've owned, anyway

Yes there is an Infra red outlet aswell that is supposed to transmit remote signal

I have the scart from the transmitter going into the sky box then the 2nd scart from the sky box to the tv. Pic and sound is fine and when I press a button on the remote pointed at the receiver the little Ir led flashes and I can see the same happening downstairs

baffling me. I am not a techie but I'm a sparks so i inderstand more than the lehman

Well after a ride on the Google Machine it appears that digital boxes (Telewest, Sky et al) can be very tricky. Test it on Freeview or something, because if the problem is the signal of the remote then Freeview will work, but the Sky box won't. You need a nice expensive transmitter for that.
