How did it take 8 years for people to realise that it is retarded, pointless and boring?

Season 10 in the US starts in ten minutes, watched the first one, not one since. I hate how the networks put all this reality TV on, a lot of which is shit, I mean it's an entertaining genre in small doses but come on how many Big Brother's do you need; I just purchased The Wire Season 3, let me tell you that's what TV should be, but wait it's not TV, it's HBO

The rest of the world will follow soon hopefully, even though I have found myself watching the one in England at times.

Are the contestants in Aus, US and the like all as bad as the UK lot over the past few years?

(hehehe now we see which of you lot really watch it)

I have no idea since I have watched a sum total of 10 minutes in the first series. Although from the press coverage I do know Australia Big Brother has a dwarf (is that the correct term?) who left the house after breaking a leg and then returned later, some dreadful Pauline Hanson clone and Pamela Anderson.

I haven't bothered watching a single episode. I hear they put in midget, a granny, and this weirdo with a high pitched voice... what were they expecting the outcome to be?

Thank feck for that!

This is one of the happiest days of my life.

On a side note Jackie-O is clearly the death of ANY TV show.

Although I am not a regular viewer I have had the opportunity to watch both the US and UK versions. If you would have asked me in advance which set of contestants were the stupidest I would have said the US version hands down. Having watched both shows I can state without fear of contradiction that the UK contestants are the stupidest people in the world. The combined IQ for Britain's Big Brother House last year was 37.
