Is due to start pretty soon.

I'm afraid it looks like it's going to end up as a white-wash for Australia, the NZ lads have been struggling against a State side over the last week and it really doesn't seem like they're going to get their shit together for the series.

It doesn't help when all their top line players have retired (or been ousted due to playing in the IPL - Bond)... Their squad looks weak.

And the only player worth watching, Bond, is on the outer with the NZ Cricket association FOR NOW, as it looks like he'll be cleared to play again eventually - which will be after our fecking series it seems...

Which is a damn shame because he's a brilliant bowler, so damn smooth which makes him a joy to watch.

Anyway this series is pretty much a non-event. Though I guess it will be something to fill the boring holidays with.

PS: bring back Mark Waugh!

We're are 3/96.

Our top three failed horribly, we must've been about 3/30 at one stage.

Just as I was thinking at least Hussey's looking alright ATM (because I don't think responsibility and Clarke goes well) he gets out LBW, leaving an inswinger.

Looks a bit tough, but what can you do.

4/96

Would rather watch this instead mate -

 Symonds just scored an 8. They ran four, then there was 4 overthrows...

Must be one of the few times this has EVER happened.

The ball before he was dropped. Two balls later he got caught behind.

No both sides have ruled that out, which is a shame because the board stuck by him through his injuries and then he just walks out for the money.

BAH!

Are you sure? They were saying (on the radio) that it looks like the issue will be cleared up sooner or later... Farq I hope he gets back!

(Or at least goes for the big money in the ICL, so I can actually watch him again when it rolls around for series II)

Both parties stood firm on ruling out a return at the start of the month. Bond gave a newspaper interview obviously trying to put himself into good light, Cricket has been good to me, money to take care of family, didn't want to leave on a sour note, etc. But clearly no intention of returning.

Australia are 4/59 in their second innings, with a total lead of 117.

The pitch is dynamite.

it's a ridiculous pitch

not looking good for australia... I reckon this pitch will only get better and better for batting unless is rains again

I was telling my mate last night that the last wicket partnership of about 30 odd runs for the Aussies might be the difference between winning and losing.

I don't know what the feck the selectors are fecking playing at.

All through India it was bleeding obvious we needed a spinner in the line-up, but they were too fecking scared to pick Krejza until the last test - where he took 8 wickets in the first innings, and 4 in the second... On debut...

Now coming to the NZ series 'debate' opened up as to whether Symonds - who was suspended by the board (for missing a team meeting) - had 'earned' the recall, he had struggled for his state side all throughout his suspension.

Of course the fecking board were going to throw him straight back into the side, which meant there was three spots for two people (well two for one seeing as Symonds was always going to be picked). This left Watson and Krejza fighting it out. Watson meant there'd be no designated spinner, and two all-rounders in the side....... They picked Watson.

Two days ago Krejza rolls his ankle at training. Roll on the start of the second test and his replacement spinner (Huritz) is straight into the side.

(who's been belted for 27 off his first 3 overs)

feck sakes no fecking luck. Get Krejza in the khunting side!

Oh NZ are looking good at 1/100 at lunch on the first day.
