Best team in the world looking good. :smirk:

Stumps on day 3. Aus 2/110 with 154 run lead.

Im sure none of you care though

Australia look like they have their batting lineup going again with Hussey and Hodge, although it is still too early to tell whether they can cut it when you play abroad.

Plus you have the small job of replacing Mcgrath and then Warne to look forward to.

Hodge had a torrid time as an overseas player for Lancashire...

Vijay, ponting is out..

Shame Jaques couldnt make more of his debut. He is an incredible player for NSW. He would have been dropped had he made something like 200 anyway, with langer coming back for the final test match in sydney.

SA bottled it, the cnuts. Allowed aussies to amass more than 100 for the last wicket, they should have dismissed them for 270-280.

They most certainly did not bottle it, Hussey played a gem of an innings to make all those runs and McGrath was Boycott like in defense ;)

In both tests SA needed to be more brutal.. their batting has in particular let them down. Thats where the Aussies hold the edge, theres still a dodgy look about the aussie batting line up.

Symonds and hayden hitting boundaries for fun. :D

Ponting just declared. SHOULD wrap this up with no trouble imo.

The test matches between Australia and South Africa were always closely contested except when Steve Waugh's side were on a roll.

Gut less performace from the South Africans. 366 at the MCG is not an impossible target particularly with the South African batting line up

Not impossible, but never been done before at MCG in 4th innings. With the pitch moving the way it is, australia always had this to win or draw.
