So far the one positive I have seen is the reaction of ETH towards the teams defeat at Brentford has been the running. I can imagine a better effort from the team after the day off was canceled and running was issued.
Very happy to hear this… as this may be the fire to light our arse to get our guys playing harder. I can imagine professionally trained athletes not taking to running very well. Like in the army or the marines.. mistakes make the team suffer and the team needs to be better. I bet our team comes out with a desire in the next game.. at least one can hope.

He should speak openly about the problems above him. I'd respect him a lot more.

I would like that as well, but I fear he would be gone faster than we could blink

I desperately wanted Ole to do it. His legend status would have become even greater for me. But he wound up tucking his tail...and becoming hated by fans that compartmentalized him as a manager vs player and ultimately another scapegoat for the Glazers.

I know it would never happen but a part of me would be happy if ETH resigned in anger at the owners and false promises. It would rock the ownership and criticism towards them would go through the roof.

Do you think Ole ever had intentions to? I would like to think he really wanted to speak out.

He started out that way. End of his interim period - he said we needed to ship out a bunch of players or something like that. Then he softened the tone over the summer and didn't hear much about it again

Yeah but if you're manager and you have that ego that says you're part of the solution, that you're the one that's going to pick the club up, then the best place to do that is in situ. Not on receipt of your P45 because you've "told the truth." You can't do anything from the sidelines.

I don't think many people dissect the performance of their CEO or Line Manager in a public forum and expect to come out better for it. Maybe in private.

Mourinho and Ralf did that. The players downed tools and they were hounded out by the fans

I'm sure there are all types of non disclosure clauses written into contracts to prevent that though?

Professionals operate with integrity day in and day out and part of that integrity is making those above you succeed regardless of your opinions of them. This is why he was hired into the organization. This is why they need him so badly as well.

All the Glazers have to do for now is get behind him and get him the players he wants. They're bad owners so of course it's gonna take some time to realign the roster and organization, but I think how long depends on the players and how many of them will be able to play in his system. He does have to win. But I think that is coming via improved fundamentals and the flexibility his approach provides.

Well the players all went whingeing to the board on Monday and today they're all moaning because they don't like the system?
I can just imagine me going to my boss and explaining that I don't really like using microsoft sharepoint and they should be recruiting more staff to do my job for me.
Ten Hag needs to nip this right in the bud. If maguire is involved he should be stripped of the captaincy and sold.
