It's not the colour of your shirt that counts, it'
One or two things were apparent yesterday in the defeat at the hands of Manchester City, lack of passion and pride, and questions are being asked by the fans, but hang on, it’s not the fans who should be asking the questions it’s the players and management. They have to question why they joined Manchester United, what did they hope to achieve, what ambition do they have, then they have to decide if they are with the right club. To play for our team you have to believe in Manchester United and what it stands for, that is simply to embrace the club, it’s fans and it’s ideals, to put Manchester United first above all else, to play with pride and passion to accept that team comes before person, to belong to the family that is Manchester United.
If you only came for personal glory, to use us as a stepping stone in your career or just for a fat pay cheque, then I am sorry, we don’t need you and can you please leave us now, the way out is at the end of the corridor, not the door marked ‘EXIT’, the other one, clearly signed ’feck OFF’.
