As a neutral i would say India are the favourites and by far the better team in the Asia cup.
However, Pakistan have always been the most talented, in terms of talent and skill but as you know that is not enough. Squabbling, match fixing have always been associated with Pakistan.

Nice to have such a big tournament...in cricket there are very few 'tournaments' although the first round was just a waste..we all knew Hong Kong and UAE woudnt make it. India is the best the team our of the three big ones on the basis of performances in the last 2 years...their batting and bowling is superior to the other 2...But being Sri Lankas home conditions it gives them a slight advantages...giving them the favourates tag for the moment... And even though i dont think pakistan are as good as us... on a single day anyone can beat anyone.
So i think it will be an india-lanka final...and hopefully wel win, comfirming us as the second best team in the world... Although i think theres this rustiness about us having had so many breaks... 7 months after the world cup...and now the last two months without any cricket... and harbhajan IMO has to play...

As for pathan being th next akram...the guy is talented thats for sure..but i dont have the balls to make a statement like that...IMO akram was one of the best ever...at times unplayable.. if pathan was to emulate akram, our bowling would for the first time be a force in world cricket...

BTW bilal... whats the feeling amongst pakistanis with woolmer now in charge...?? IMO john wright has changed indian cricket completely.. infact most of the key positions of management of the team have been given to foreigners... the physio,coach,trainer etc. and it seems to have really helped professionalise things...

well-played to you lot. But I think that bonus point might really come into the reckoning, depending ofcourse on the India Sri Lanka game. This one was do or die for you lot, and you came through. The next one is do or die for us, and we gotta now step up and seize the day. If we cant win 1 out of 3 games against SL and Pak, then we dont deserve a place in the finals.

But so far its been a dissapointing tournament for us...we look really rusty..balaji should be dropped...and we should play with 4 bowlers..the decision to play 5 bowlers was laughable...it was a 270-300 track and we were a batsman short IMO...and a fifth bowler really wasnt going to make a difference...i think on these tracks sachin and sehwag are just abt as useful as some seamers... A little worried abt the batting...sehwag needs to sort himself out..just think that after the pakistan tour some overconfidence has crept in...you can see it in the strokes sehwag has played so far...
