Defender spotted at Old Trafford with agent

Swansea defender Ashley Williams was last night spotted at Old Trafford with his agent as he attended Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial.

The 28-year-old defender was linked with a move to United last season only a couple of months after he ‘nearly killed’ Robin van Persie.

Rio and Ashley share the same management agency and is a good friend of Ferdinand’s, so it may simply have been a case of the Welshman coming to visit for that reason.

But United have strongly been linked with a move for a centre back this summer with Ferdinand edging towards retirement and Vidic’s injury problems leaving cause for concern. Ezequiel Garay’s protracted move never materialised but with bags of Premier League experience, Williams would not find it difficult to settle at Old Trafford.

The fact that he shares the same agent as Ferdinand would suggest that if Moyes was to move for Williams, it could easily happen but there are much bigger prerogatives than bringing in a new centre back into the team and I would rather see Jones, Smalling and Evans given the game time.

"Spotted" at Old Trafford, despite him coming down to pitchside to give a interview for the tele.

Rio's mate, it's nowt.

More interesting was the mature dating photo that popped up under Ashley Williams when I first open the thread.

This. Must've taken an eagle-eyed journalist to 'spot' him on BT Sport giving an interview with his mate Rio...

He did an interview with BT, him and Rio share the same management company and are mates. Some journalists are legit retarded.

Leviticus 20:13 itself is an abomination.

I like this idea. It reminds me of Tottenhams signing of Dean Richards, at an age of 27-28 something. Established player with a lot of physical strenght. Imagine playing him and Vidic... brrrrrrrrrr

Championship player

He's proven over the course of 2 seasons that he's quite clearly a very capable Premier League defender. Having said that, it's extremely shoddy journalism given that Williams came pitch side and spoke to BT. He was "spotted" by the millions watching at home.

Looks like he could snap and start throwing punches at any moment. fecking clogger.

He's an absolute cnut, and RVP made him look the lower league player he actually is. Swansea have got a few cnuts, Michu's tackle on Rooney was the challenge of a cnut and that Canas is clearly going to be an utter cnut all season.

Yeah, that Canas bloke is another one who could become massive twat this season. Few times no one touched him and he rolled around like they broke his leg, and fecking Dowd bought it every time.
