I don't understand why people rave so much about Janko. He has lots of pace and he is strong, but he is way too simple to make it at top-level. He runs straight forward really fast, but he has no plan B and he can't cross the ball

No - I would want a fullback to be able to cross the ball - and perhaps even beat a man with a bit of skill. Kinda like Rafael and Evra can do

He can beat a fullback when he can outrun him - but against an organized defense he has very little to contribute with.
 
So his crossing is poor in one game and that means he can't cross. Ok.

He's put in a few beauties this season, great shape and whip on them.

Full backs are often the outlet against a well organised team so he could be very effective with his pace and strength. He's only very new to the English game too so sure there's more to come. No value in making any judgement about his first team prospects yet, but then you like to be contrary from memory.
 
Lucky point in the end but all in all a decent performance against a more experienced side. Rothwell seems to take to this level like a duck to water while Pearson's not quite there yet. Hopefully, neither injury is serious.
 
Janko was beating players with dribbling very well. Dont know what the complaints are about. Needs a bit more confidence in his crossing
 
I would love to be wrong - but I just feel that if we are gonna sign players from abroad at youth-level, they should be something really special and I just can't see Janko as a lot better than what we had before. I could be wrong - has happened before.
