Arsenal might sign Fluminenses 15 year old Brazilian forward Wellington after the youngster impressed in his seven day trial at Ashburton Grove. Wellington played for 45 minutes against Norwich U-16, and scored four goals as Arsenal ran out 8-4 winners. Videos of him on the net seem to show that the lad has very good finishing skills, and the coaching staff were greatly impressed by his performance. His parents want him to move to England to join the likes of Denilson and Pedro Botelho, but Fluminense chairman Everton Cerqueira has said that he would like the boy to stay in Brazil.

I realy hope that this deal falls through, Wellington was voted Most Valued Player in the Manchester United Premier Cup 2008. He looks a fantastic prospect.

I guess Arsenal are doing the same that we did with the twins, agreeing a deal now, and getting them over to England when he turns 18...
I read some place that he's good friends with the twins, maybe they can make him understand that Wenger is no good for young boys:devil:

We have a deal in place with Fluminense do we not? Kind of like a first option iirc.. Or has that been terminated?

Never seen the guy in question.. though I have seen him on FM nonetheless so basically no comments on that.. moreover there are so many Brazilians with the same name its hard to tell which is which...

Wellington....proper Brazilian name

I thought we had a first option on all Fluminense players too, which either means we didn't want him or we don't actually have a deal like that in place.

The Fluminense partnership has been off a while.

I don't think they were happy when we signed the DA SILVAS for peanuts. They were under the impression we would be signing their 24 year olds for 10+ million. So it wouldn't surprise me if the agreement had been dissolved.

Possibly.. this could also be the reason as to why we signed up with another Brazilian youth club recently..

I put that video up. He was the best player at the Premier cup along with Ravel Morrison and the other Fluminense striker Rudolfo who set up his goal in the video

Likes to stick his foot in I've heard

Like most "the next big thing" will probably fade into obscurity in a couple of years...

Or even if he turns out good, Wenger will sell him for couple of millions and replace him with the next good prospect

His parents want him to leave home to go to Arsenal because Denilson is there? Why? Because he's Brazilian? Stay in Brazil, there's loads of them there.

Signing for Levante, according to their OS.

I think Levante want him and Botelho (our other secret Brazilian) on loan for the season since they can't get UK wps.

It's a loan deal, my bad!

Botelho looks a very good LB from what I've seen of his loan spells. Very dynamic in his running, almost Bale-esque. No doubt, he figures in Arsene's masterplan and will fight out the LB spot with Gibbs.

The ten year one?

They have several which will come into effect after the original plan. These include, the eleven year plan and, the much feared, twelve year plan.

Hasn't he been at Arsenal since, like, fo-eva?

He'd make an excellent lezzer face replacement for Nasri.

Thread let me down big time. Thought this guy's name was "Fluminese Wellington".
