I think we'll play the perfect game and win 3-0;
Van Nistelrooy
Forlan
Scholes

Diego's on fire, hat-trick as we win 6-0, Scholes, Ruud and Ole with the other goals. Giggsy is man of the match for terrorising the Arse defence. ;)

When we play a team of similar ability at home I think a win or a draw are the most likely resuls. I hope for a win, am disappointed with a draw and am extremely upset (and shocked) if we lose.

Away, I am usually satisfied with a draw and disappointed with a loss. A win, like at Anfield, is a bonus.

I think we will win, probably by a goal.

I reckon we'll win 2-1. Ole will score one and set up the other with a good run and a pass to put either Ruud or Diego into space.

Henry will probably score for the Arse. Although if Ljungberg (or however you spell his name) is playing, he has a knack of scoring against us.

I predict we will play a team called Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday at 12:15pm.

I expect to be spot on with that prediction.

Off to ladbrokes for me!

He's a tremendous player and he got my respect. But please, DO NOT MAKE ANY GOALS AGAIST US! Anyway, I think it will be a thight game with an odd goal victory... Good luck guys, kill the Arse for me please!

, place a bet for me as well, will you? £1000 will do it! :D

it looks as though arse dont last the second half for some reason, and we seem to be waking up after half time.

We're going to beat them in a very physical and ugly match. Expect Viera and Micky to get sent off and Ruud to grab the winning goal in a 1-0 win.

We're going to beat them and end their scoring run!!

I see us drawing 2-2 with a goal in the last 10 minutes after being 0-2 down. I dont think we're strong enough to beat this Arsenal team with our current team (PLEASE GOG LET ME BE WRONG!!!) but I'd be happy with a draw, and of course even happier with a win.

feck it! On reflection I think we'll beat them 2-1

4-3 Utd in the match of the season. Following which SAF has an embarrassing problem - how to bring back Becks and Keano into a team which maybe doesn't need them anymore... the youngsters have stood up to be counted and together with OGS have made it happen.
Rio is still young enough to earn his place back in the team, but I'm wondering... if this team beats Arsenal convincingly, is it time for Becks and Keano to think about moving on in their careers ? I'm not saying I want them to go... but can Becks really enjoy the ridiculous weekly expectations of him at United, when at a top Italian or Spanish club he could just concentate on a new challenge, just playing football where he is surrouned by other mutimillion dollar players, where he can be a normal player. At United if he doesn't work miracles in every game he gets bucketed.
As regards Keano, I'm seeing a more team-oriented midfield approach now, with Wes, Mikhael, Quinton, JOS, Scholes, OGS all working hard in defence and attack... its not a one-man show anymore.

If Utd do the hard work it will pay off and that's how these sqade players have been playing recently. Scholes is on fire and should be rewarded, maybe the captains ban? either way Fortune is doing great and should shove it up those Arsey Arrogant feckers. Veron to come on and score. GO U REDS.

Arsenal will win by 2 goals if Ljungberg/Silva/Vieira/Pires/Bergkamp/Henry are playing.

Who's defending for the Arse this week? But i love your arrogance.

now this i can totally get on board with :D

however...

we'll win 2-0 with the goals coming from DF and RvN

ok my prediction varies on the team..

if Blancs recalled from the start we will loose, blanc to slow to cope with henry,id even have doubts about bringing back Rio, think mickey and wes have been quality. If veron isnt sharp enough and gives the ball away as he's prone to the arse will have a field day, we need 11 players performing and working hard.

id go with the 5 in midfield scholes ,fortune and Veron, giggs and ole or becks if fit... id be content with a draw over the moon with a win

2-2 i reckon

i think people are getting a little carried away with the liverpoo, basle and newcastle games .... the ARSE will be a compleatly differnt oponent and i think well do well to hold them to a draw with the injury problems we have.

of course i hope for a win but i'd take a draw now.

My thoughts exactly!
Brilliant deduction Holmes! :)

2-0 will do me regardless of who scores. Own goals for all I care. (Or to abbreviate it, OGS :) )

I'm going for a tie 2-2 both teams have to much fire power for there not to be goals.

With Campbell arsenal would have edged it but without him i think Keown will find a front line of ole, RVN and Forlan to pacy...

Our defence will be dogged in trying to prevent arsenal scoring, the key, i think is to mark the trailing forward; Arsenal like to play balls directly in front of goal then knock it back for the late man to fire in, take the follow up away from them and they will find it very difficult to create space in front of the goal.

Arsenal are great when everything is going well for them but you watch their heads start to drop when things dont go there way. If united can frustrate them and interupt their flowing game for 60 minutes they will have a really good chance at getting something.

This could possible be the game where yound O'shea and wes brown become hero's.

this is a game we can not afford to lose ,so i would settle for the draw right now.

But saying that if the team plays the the fighting spirt that they have shown over the last few games we can beat Arsenel ( Southampton did).

Arsenal Predictions

Well,I suppose it's only to be expected that on a Manc site there should be so much optimism.I'm a fan...and I know what it's like to be a fan...you forget the poor performances and emphasise the good ones.Understandably, after your poor run of form, you were all secretly (though, obviously not outwardly) nervous about playing the Scousers at Anfield last sunday. You won (though,in the cold light of day ,hardly convincingly) as much to Dudek's charity as to your own rather subdued attack. So ,now you're on a high....does that mean you're the best team in England?

Does that really mean you can beat last year's champions, who just happen to be also this season's league leaders??
6 points behind...maybe 9 points behind after saturday.Ask yourself...who needs this win more ?Not us that's for sure...but where do your dreams of dominance lie if you lose?

Where do they lie if you get,as may well happen, your arses soundly kicked saturday?

Why is there such a deficit of balanced appraisal as to your teams chances against us this saturday. In other words, why are you so blind to our quality and your failings? It's 90 minutes...anything can happen. You might just get lucky, punk.BUT,I don't think so.You are just not in our league at the moment and regardless of what happens saturday,we will retain our title and I expect we will do better than you in the CL.

Maybe, just maybe, you will suffer a humiliation saturday. But think,it might be a blessing in disguise ,if only because ,at last, the realisation sets in.......Yes ...you really are that far off the pace !! And so,more radical treatment is required to restore you lot to the pinnacle where you clearly deserve to be,because ...Why else would you support Man Utd ;)

its funny i have great respect for the way you play football and the team you have

but like you say about our poor early season form and yet with half a team missing you and pool are still well within reach

should be a close game but i think we will edge it 2-1

you cocky cnut

and talking of humiliation 6-1 niiiice

You lot haven't retained the championship since the 1930s. All your good sides since then have been one season wonders. This season could well be the same. Not that you'll be too upset - you haven't known any different in your 40 plus years.

Of course we CAN beat you. We are favourites with the bookies. Southampton managed to and I assume even you accept we're better than them. Whether we win or not is another matter.

Of course a win is more important for us because 9 points will be hard to recover. But it has been done many times before and will be done many times in the future.

IMO opinion we are ripe for this game.I think we will win by the odd goal in a tense match.
2-1 would be my prediction with Ruud scoring both

We had the ball in the net three times, first time being a very close offside decision - but it was a good move from United and a good finish even if it didn't count.

Optimism from fans is one thing Gillespie but overconfidence can get you stuffed. It's likely to be a close game - we'd both take a draw at the moment I would guess. But if your team approach the game with your cocky attitude, they could well find themselves on the end of a hammering. Don't underestimate United.

Wenger will come to win - for the three points and to damage you. As for cockiness there's 3 pages of RuudBoy's displayed in today's Sun. Arsenal don't underestimate you but you underestimate the effect of your missing players and the fact that we are much better than in May, with Gilberto and Pires in the team. You need to match Vieira and Gilberto in the centre of midfield and without Keane I don't think you can. And if you don't your back 4 will not enjoy their day.
