When Liverpool got knocked out by Leverkusen I was physically sick :( I came on here 2 days later and still saw threads of "Arrogant Scousers" 0 thread contained - who did they think they were that they could just walk over the Bundesliga leaders

Well with all due respect that is what is happeneing here/ Threads about how much people are willing to pay to go to Glasgow.

Now this was never an issue on KT , but from what I have seen here, the mancs are more much more cockier.

Trouble that can lead to big trouble m but no doubt I will see replies like

"Blah blah blah we are utd yack yack yack"

Are you too cocky is my question !!!!
 
Well if you had just pissed all over Deportivo home and away with our injuries then you'd be more confident than say if you win 1 group game and play for a 1-0 home win and 0-0 away.

Well we had just p!ssed over Roma and beaten Leverkusen at home and had a great defensive record and were flying in the Prem and got a shock.

Paper teams win paper cups - games are not won on paper is my point.

At times yes. But that is mainly banter. Nobody here who has any sense thinks that we will walk over Bayer Leverkusen - quite the opposite, we know that they could cause us some serious problems!

Franz Beckenbauer thinks that we have a 50-50 chance. I would put that closer to 65-35 to be honest! Liverpool should have won that game in Germany. In fact they would have if Owen had been sharper on the night! Individual performances and luck - good or bad for both, can win or loose you these ties!

I think there is a bit of a difference in United's situation compared to Liverpool's. To begin with Liverpool haven't been in the Champions League before this year and haven't been in Europe consistantly at all.

United have been both successfully and unsuccessfully competing for over 9 years now on the trot. I believe, within reason, that one earns the right to be cocky. It makes no sense at all for Liverpool to have been cocky about the Champions League, because their experience in the competition these days is minimal. It (CL) truly does sort out the boys from the men. That is why when they were bowled over and thrown out, the only expected response one can expect is that of jeering. Of course you will be mocked - your cockiness is recieved in the manner of "Who do these newbies think they are with their big egos but no experience to match etc..."

United are well aware of what lies ahead of them, as they have shown in the past that they can progress because of their experience in this competition. I think that it is far less cocky for a United fan to predict a grand final in Glasgow than for a Liverpool fan to assume a semi final placing.

United have shown time & time again their worth in Europe, and that in itself is a clear enough indication that logically they should make the final if their form is good. There was 0% logic and 100% cockiness in the bindippers claims however.

Quite right Kinky! That's 6 consecutive years we've been in the CL QFs now (only us and Bayern Munich have done that). Of those 6, three have ended in the QFs, 1 in the final by winning it, 1 in a semi against Dortmund, and this year's semi+!

Even if we don't beat Bayern Leverkusen, our record of 3 QFs, 2 SFs, and a win will still be very good! If we win the thing this year, our record will be extreamly impressive! 3 Qfs, 1 SF, and 2 Cups. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
