Arne Slot | Liverpool manager (Posture Watch)

We moan about similar “injustices” on here. Agreed.

The big difference is that when it’s United:

1. United keep their mouths shut about it.
2. The media is absolutely silent on the subject.

When it’s Liverpool:

1. Their manager doesn’t shut up about it.
2. The media spends the next week forensically analysing it, to the point they spend an hour talking about it in the build up to an unrelated match. It’s then raised constantly throughout the season.

To be fair you can then see why refs are bullied into making decisions their way all the time. Saves any aggro

And now we proudly have this thread:

Guess some people actually agree with Slot and liked it!

People are ridiculous. Low block and long ball wasn't the strategy, outside of a few periods of the game where Liverpool were playing into space well and so we squeezed it.

We were mostly playing out of the back particularly through the left hand channel, but when we couldn't beat Liverpool's press we did go longer to bypass it. This is no different to how Liverpool play when they are getting pressed.

15ish % long passes including switches, and 47ish% possession with few dispossessions isn't some away day regressive strategy.

I remember when Van Persie was nearly killed. Hardly any outrage!
