I've noticed this season (particularly without Keano) that our percentage of possession has been consistently lower than in previous years.
This can be attributed to a few factors:
1. 4-3-2-1 formation means that Giggs & Solskjaer are playing further up from midfield and tending to attack when they get possession, hence losing it quicker.
2. Personnel: while the Nevilles have been fantastic in recent weeks, retaining possession is not one of their strong points. What's the percentage of times Gary receives the ball that he either passes back to Barthez or hoofs it up front?
3. Tactics: Fergie seems to have us defending deep (particular when Blanc plays), allowing us to counter-attack like Cloughie's Forest.
