I have no problem with the idea of signing little Ronny BUT, we all know he is not an out and out striker so if RVN does (god forbid) get injured are we still not screwed for a goal scorer? just a thought.

No one can "sure" any one particular player is the answer. But yes, I think after getting Ronny (or Kewell), we still need to find one more backup striker.

Are you sure there aren't at least two other threads discussing this?

Than you are forgetting one of the deadliest strikers on earth. A certian OGS

Well i know there are a thousand threads discussing him, its quite possible that the question of a additional back up striker has been discussed there.

Another out&out striker? OGS has always been a prolific goal scorer, he has probably scored more goals in the past 4-5yrs than most leading strikers of other clubs. We don't need another one for now.

A Ronny or a Totti would do very nicely I think.

I think that a player such as Ronny (Im not convinced hes the right signing this summer but Im open minded) would be fitting as a partner for Ruud or OGS. OGS and Ruud are different types of strikers but can both work well with creative strike partners, IMO.

Well, most players have a tendensy to do( work well with creative partners).
