TBH, I am actually starting to get worried when I hear Milan targetting Chivu & van der Vaart, Liverpool are targetting Finnan, Duff & Cisse, City are targetting Kahn, Arsenal are targetting Rustu, Mexes & Hofland whereas Utd are persistently rumoured to be targetting James & Defoe.... :(

We're champions. The rest are not. Hence they need more, better players. We're almost the full package. :D

almost every single player you mentioned has been linked with united as well...

I know farawaylands - & they've been brushed off, one way or another, but James & Defoe keep croping up & it seems that they're Fergie's favs! :(

Gazza, I know we're champs but that doesn't mean we shudn't be signing the best. A good ( & overused ) example is Real Madrid, champs of Europe 3 times in the last 5 years, yet they keep signing the best around. :)

if calamity james ever shows up at carrington i will weep - can we not get paddy roche back instead?
dont want any of that 'appy 'ammers "gawain dahn brick layne blawin babbles" mob

Apart from James, shud Utd go for Defoe?

He hasn't impressed me sufficiently to get excited that Utd might want him - give me Kanoute instead!

No need to worry, as Kenyon already said that there will definitely be new faces to join us next season.

James? Are you serious? ;)

The rumours just refuse to go away & I'm having nightmares over them!

We do not need the best players, we need the players that are best for our team.

That's what both Fergie & Kenyon said last month & who did they buy?

Only Rio for a f*cking £33mil which froze Kenyon's bald patch & he immediately declared 'No more signings!'

We obviously knew that was it & some 9 months later the management acknowledged they were 2-3 players short of a UEFA Champions League Title - Gee! As if we didn't know that!

So, until the ink has dried on a few new players' contracts ( & mind you, not your James & Defoes & Ricardos & Forlans! ) I hold my breath...

No. We will just get rid of dead wood Like Blanc, May, Chadwick, Djordic and psosibly Butt(oops) if Fergie really wants Gatusso to be Keano's long term replcament. As for Fab. 32 is a right age to replace a keeper in my opinion.

Besides remeber squad numbers 12,5, 14,15,23,9 and one are likely to all be empty in june and those are first team numbers. Think about it. It must be an Omen now thatKenyon has said fergie will be a spend thrift ;)

Tell me those boys will beat us with their flimsy signings :D :p

Can't have those shirts lying empty ;)

The pattern has been to add just a few quality players each summer to maintain continuity. On the other hand its good business to take advantage of the low prices.

Of those players going, only Blanc could be considered as having been a real option for the team.

Fab will probably go. thats one.

A forward with some guile and quickness, that can make the difference in europe. Looks like Roni is favoured though he could be more interested.

wide midfield cover- LW especially but also RW- Quaresma

Kewell is another versatile attacking player, LW/FWD, he can put himself about but is a bit of a sulker too.

Escude sounds like a good move if he can also play RB as Weaste says, but I've only seen him as LB. BTW he has a contract to June '05.

Also if Mexes is available for 4mil we'd be crazy not to take him, he's going to be Blanc, Nesta class. Wenger is probably rubbing his palms at the prospect.

The first three- Goalkeeper, Ronaldinho and Quaresma are priorities, with Kewell, Escude and Mexes also qood value.

mexes at 4mil is a joke, we should bite their hand off. wenger has been sniffing around his backside, could be one of the only players the alsatian can afford, and he's a great player.
