Any way to stop particular threads appearing?

As you browse through the caf? Especially in the general, as even just some of the titles can be nsfw. They definitely have their place in the caf, and I love reading them at home, but I just don't want them appearing on my browser in the uni library. If there's not, fair enough, just thought I'd ask.

Edit:

This is in no way a censorship suggestion. I mean a User CP based feature that just hides threads of your choice from view on your account. Apologies for confusion.

I sort of would second this, however we'd probably be met with "Don't surf the caf outside of your house."

I think there should be place and consideration for a 18+/NSFW section, not for pornography purposes (Although one could exersize the thought) but just so there's a seperate place from the General, much like there's an entertainment forum for Movies, television, music, etc... why not have one for glamour models and NSFW threads?

Or just dont open the threads?

Well, when I sit in the general now, any passers-by will inevitably see a thread on "how to turn a woman on" whether or not I open it.

And even worse, if I don't open it, it sits there in bold! :nervous:

let me get this straight PJ, we should make our little corner of the net safe for you guys to surf at work ... ?

how fecking egocentric can one nerd be?

read the bbc at work ... then you will have a more rounded view of the world, if you stay on here all the time you start thinking the world is populated solely by level headed genius types only

Say what? I did not mean that at all. I was thinking more a user CP type feature to hide threads from view on your own account. Go post whatever you want.

i know, i was messing, forgot the smilie, I always think my subtle yet brilliant sarcasm will be evident

Probably was to most people. Nerves and gay uni work do strange things to me.

People need to remember that this is a football forum first and foremost, the general is there for a bit of light hearted fun, mostly during working hours for most of us. Anyone abusing it will be taken out

I appreciate that geebs, but some threads that are quite harmless can be a bit embarrassing just.

i agree with PJ.

its gets down right embarrassing sometimes specially with the gay threads.

Not getting at you guys. What im saying is that we are not going to be creating a seperate forum for people to peddle porn behind closed doors. We are a football forum. Posters need to self moderate themselves rather than the immature nonsense we have to clean up everyday. Everyone has had more than enough warnings.
