Finnish tabloid paper Ilta-Sanomat are saying sir Alex was after Antti Niemi. But called one hour too late on hearts, cause Niemi was already signed with Saints. Sounds pretty weird for me, why he would leave it so late if he really wanted to get him?

dont be so cynical. Its more likely that United just made their move too late (if true) and he had already signed for Saints.
damn good keeper though, he was the best in Scotland IMO.
