Ratings for Sunday night's show from Southwell Minster were the highest in four years, with an audience of eight million tuning in - up from 6.9 million the previous week.
Bruce replaced Michael Aspel as host last month and viewing figures have risen steadily. The average audience for the last series was 5.9 million.
