Hello all,

My girlfriend is looking to buy a TV soon. She has a budget of £500 and has to buy the TV from Currys because she intends to use a voucher that she won in a competition. The TV is likely to be used mostly for general watching and probably some video games too. Ideally, the TV would be highly durable and have a 100Hz refresh rate and would be HD Ready/Full HD. Earlier today, we saw a Panasonic plasma TV that looked pretty good for the price:

What do you lads think of this TV? Can anyone recommend a TV from Currys for £500 or less?

Thanks! :)

Not full HD, doesn't have freeview HD either. Not a great TV.

The other one posted also doesn't have freeview HD, but it is pretty good otherwise (although apparently the 42" Panasonic panels aren't as good quality as their smaller ones for some reason). I got one of these lately, and although it's smaller than the others, it's very good: Panasonic TX-L32S20B 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

They did sell it at Currys as that's where I saw it - on display in the Trafford center branch, but their website gives the wrong specs for it and it says it's currently out of stock. Can the Currys vouchers be spent at other shops (they are part of DSG which owns Dixons and PC World too)?

Cheers lads. Much appreciated.

Not sure whether or not she can use the voucher at other DSG stores but that's something I'll look in to.
