Manchester United target Mariano Gonazalez wants to move to Old Trafford - after talking to midfielder Juan Veron. Argentine midfielder Gonzalez, rated at £3million, is one of the names being lined up by United this summer - even if David Beckham decides to stay. Their initial target is PSV Eindhoven defender Kevin Hofland, a player Sir Alex Ferguson has also marked down as a potential recruit for Manchester United. Hofland has been higly recommended to Ferguson by his former team-mate Ruud van Nistelrooy, but until recently has carried a £15million price tag.
