plural anomalies
Synonyms of anomaly
1
: something different, abnormal, peculiar, or not easily classified : something anomalous
They regarded the test results as an anomaly.

2
: deviation from the common rule : IRREGULARITY

Disclaimer: United were awful and some players were disgraceful in their attitude.

BUT. You will never see a collection of goals that were THAT ridiculously lucky.
The referee got caught in the headlights on a number of decisions.

The meltdown from some is absolutely mental. Liverpool have won their only trophy of the season. The beat United trophy. That’s all they have.

United WILL recover from this and will probably be stronger for it.

ETH knows how to handle this.

We have been getting thrashed like this too often for it to be an anomaly

Start of the season? And against City when they were steamrolling?
Long time in regards to the season as a whole.
This season was never gonna be straightforward and it’s a miracle it’s gone as well as it has.
People need to stop spitting dummies out when it doesn’t all go their way.

Where's the obligatory Youtube highlights vid? I haven't heard of him, but EtH has usually got his signings spot on.

Some good work from Liverpool, some bad luck but I agree this is one off. I also think people have issue with the team collapsing rather than the fact we lost.

The collapse was horrendous but EVERYTHING went Liverpools way in that second half.

We got spanked a bunch of times under Ferguson too:
6-1 v City, 6-3 v Southampton, 5-0 v Newcastle, 5-0 v Chelsea, 4-1 v Liverpool, 4-0v Barcelona, 5-1 v City (1989), 3-0 v York City, 4-1 v Spurs and so on.

We bounced back every time.

Factor in the tiredness as well which i think is huge. It caught up with us today, both physically and mentally.

Too often? We lost 4-0 and 6-3 (to a City team who were destroying everyone) within ETH’s first five weeks as manager when nothing was settled and transfers hadn’t been completed never mind bedded in.

We’ve subsequently had the best form out of any team in the top 5 leagues, winning 16 of the last 21 games and losing only two, including today. This includes (in my opinion) battering Barcelona at the Nou Camp which we’ve NEVER done.

This result is a freak occurrence under this manager due to the absolute loss of discipline within the team which, barring those early weeks, had been eradicated from the team.

The test now is to ensure it gets banished again so that this remains an anomaly and nothing more.

This is different because it's 7-0 and against them scouse scumbags,so please don't compare it to them because not remotely similar

Getting slapped at Anfield as well as the Etihad is a regular occurrence since we sacked LVG

Yep. And we will again.

There are enough threads discussing this. Use one of those.
