Specifically in regard to audiobooks.
At my most impatient i wonder why they can't release [an abridged version at they very least] tham at the same time as the first editions of the hardbacks.
But being more realistic i can wait, and do, however a book by Simon Scarrow was released some time back and still nothing. You always hope for an unabridged version but they are not always so common.
In the worst case, they don't do one at all. *sigh*
Some authors/publishers are mroe reliable than others though.
