I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
Is ankle/sock tape out of fashion then? At one point everybody seemed to be wearing them, seems like nobody does anymore, not even Ronaldo..

Wonder what the next thing will be. Remember when the only footballers to wear shoes other than black was Beckham and Rivaldo.

Cock tape is all the rage according to my Liverpool supporting mate.

Fairly sure it wasn't for fashion, it was to stop the shin pads falling down.

Ronaldo started (at United at least) the fad of cutting the bottom of the football socks off and wearing tennis socks. The tape was used to attach what was left of the football sock to the tennis sock.

Why did they do that?

Don't a lot of players cut their socks around the lower ankle and wear like padded running socks instead below?

It's strange to think that was so recent. I remember turning up to training for my school team in purple Nike boots and got a massive bollocking from the coach.

A well deserved bollocking, what the feck were you thinking?

I should have known better. This was the same PE teacher who made me do rugby training in my boxers (as a 10 year old!) because I thought with it being winter I could get away with jogging trousers.

Yep everyone wore black boots. I think Beckham was the first to change that? Then only the really good players wore them and then everybody.
