Liverpool's Secret Weapon.
I notice that, despite our win at Anfield, we are hearing comments in the press and on radio phone ins everywhere, that Arsenal won't be quaking after watching us play on Sunday.
WTF???
Without 5 or 6 nailed on first team regulars, we go to our hated rivals and out-scrap them, show great heart, and take the 3 points.
Liverpool played quite well, (as did we on 2 or 3 of the occasions they beat us out of their 5 wins)
But at the end of the day we got the result our season badly needed.
Against Arsenal, who are playing well yet still have lost as many us us this season, we are told we will get hammered. We are at home. We have won our last 3 matches. Our confidence and team spirit are high. We could afford to get a draw at this stage of the season and not be badly off.
So what on earth gives anyone the right to still have a go at our side.
The flowing footie was there against Newcastle. We are capable of it afterall. Certain games like Liverpool require different tactics. Sometimes it's not pretty, but more often than not United are great to watch.
Methinks the ABU's are getting a bit twitchy.
If we play with the same spirit on Saturday and lose..... so what. At least we had a go.
If we do win though...... what will the ABU's use next as ammunition to beat us with???
Arsenal hardly hammered us at home last year did they. One chance, one goal and good defensive display. Respect to them for being worthy champions last season, but nothing more than that.
Bring them on!!! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
