And now the complaint

I know its being picky, but i'm going to have my moan about Giggs, then it's done promise.

I still have a problem with Giggs spending too much time in the middle. I know he scored the equaliser and you'd expect him to come inside when the balls on the right.
There were 2 incidents that made my point.
The first was after 12 minutes. Veron picked the ball up deep and played it out to the left, where there was no defence only to find that giggs had followed Ole and Ruud through the middle.
The second proved why he's one of the best left wingers around. He picked the ball up on the left edge of the box, ran at the defender, left him for dead and put in a good cross. He so good at taking players on, he should caryy on doing that and only look to come inside when the ball's on the right.

Fair play, i'm being picky but its little things like this, that can mean the difference between champions and also rans.

Phil has performed well in the last couple of games, not just tonight.

I've been a critic of Giggs based on his last season and a half, but tonight Giggs showed us some history. He showed us the sort of form we saw in the mid 90s - great performance, but as a realist I can't but fear he'll slip back to the lax performances we have become all too used to over the past while.

And remember the opposition were minnows tonight in fairness.
