• A submerged, 12m long monolith has been discovered at a water depth of 40m, in a shallow bank of the Sicilian Channel.

• Morphological evidence, underwater observations, and results of petrographic analysis testify that the monolith is man-made.

• This monolith suggests a significant human activity in the Pantelleria Vecchia Bank, a former island of the Sicilian Channel.

• Seawater inundated the Pantelleria Vecchia Bank at 9350 ± 200 yr B.P., presumably forcing inhabitants to migrate.

Apparently it's 9000 years old. The report is massive and I haven't been able to read it through whilst at work... Though it will make for good reading whilst I'm on the train home.

brb, going to Sicily to be scanned and possibly selected by the alien monolith.

If it's 1:4:9, shit is about to get real. Maybe this explains the mafia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Göbekli_Tepe. There may be some really obscure places that have even older structures - perhaps past Antarctica. Deeper in the oceans . History is bullshit to a point - too many reputations, too much at stake and too many lies. We've not conquered the oceans, we've only drilled 8 miles I think? (under the surface), we've not conquered space

You always read about new life found and perhaps new places. It's the untouched places that will have all the secrets but that's obvious. History is built on top of itself.

Every Hollywood movie I have ever watched tells me they should leave that thing where the feck it is.
Don't be bringing that shit up here.

They'll awaken Cthulu, I'm telling you!

It could be older it could be younger Zi suppose if it turns out it got there some other way,. But they can do some carbon dating of the built up shells and such (the report might say they did this have not read it all).

But it does seem historians and archeologists are finding mankind's civilizations go back further.

I'm sure they will find a glitch and they will say someone drop the rock there, archeology turned in the big lie

There are some interesting theories that the Pyramids were built at the site of a much older complex. The Sphinx is at the center of those theories, regarding the erosion patterns. I can't say I've ever really bought into the theories, but neither should we dismiss it imo. Current history about when civilization started is very dogmatic. We should keep open minds about this sort of thing, the problem is that the established scholars regarding these fields are very resistant to changing their views. If the history changes, their educations are no longer relevant regarding the actual evolving understanding of our history.

Love this sort of stuff

I even believe in the Ancient Alien theory

I reckon there is loads of stuff buried under the ice of Antarctica which will completely change history as we know it :)
